Losing weight is, for many people, one of life’s greatest battles – despite the fact that it needn’t be. But the deck has been stacked against you – bad science, poor information and even deliberate misinformation. It’s made all the more difficult by marketing hype – with food manufacturers eager to get you to consume as much of their product as possible.

The reality is that none of the modern “food like products” can compete with real food in terms of nutrition. We’ve drifted a long way from what we are supposed to be putting in our bodies – and we’re paying the price as obesity skyrockets.



It wasn’t like this before. 120 years ago, the vast majority of people were lean and in shape. And this was before factory food, fast food and artificial additives were part of the daily diet. Can you see the connection? It’s pretty obvious.

1: Drink green tea. Green tea, made properly with hot (not boiling) water, no sweeteners and no cream – just “straight” – is an amazing healthful beverage. Here’s why it is considered valuable for weight loss: It revs up the metabolism, providing a sustained (but not crazed) boost. In short, you burn off more calories and the amount you intake from green tea is of course calorifically insignificant. Don’t be tempted to go for the ready-made green tea beverages in the supermarket. Have you looked at the ingredients? High Fructose Corn Syrup and other nasties abound in many of them.

2: Give up alcohol. It’s well known that alcoholic beverages, in addition to the alcohol also contain high amounts of sugars. That converts to fat. Where did you think the term “beer gut” came from. It’s a well known cause of obesity. Giving up alcohol is something that I do not regret one bit… giving up refined sugar too is a game changer. Switch these two out for green tea and watch what happens… 😉
