Here’s another awesome tutorial that I just discovered: A high-quality, all-pure-natural skin balm that not only smells delicious but is full of natural health benefits! You can use it on dry skin or lips – or even simply as a solid perfume. Link is after my commentary as per usual.
The first part of the process is a slow one – but leads to great results: Infusing the vanilla from real vanilla pods into a high quality oil for 30 days. For this kind of therapeutic use it is advised to use the best quality oil you can find – think organic, first cold pressed.
The second part involves adding beeswax, which requires the standard “double boiler” beeswax melting process. You can then add other essential oils of your choosing for aroma or therapeutic benefits. The article recommends orange or lavender – but there’s nothing to stop you adding any of your favorites. Here’s our “category page” on essential oils if you want to do some further research.
