With the harsh effects of the external environment nowadays, face creams have come in very handy not just for women, but for men as well! Face creams available in the store today promise quality results in making your skin feel smooth, supple, soft, acne-free, and blemish-free. Some even promised to have antioxidant and anti-ageing effects. However, many products are under suspicion due to the vague ingredients such as “fragrance” – which may be a synthetic chemical cocktail.

A great skin moisturizer, jojoba oil is known for its ability to treat and prevent acne and other skin ailments like eczema, psoriasis, sunburn and chapped skin. This natural moisturizer works in giving life and youthfulness to dry skin. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties that helps in reducing redness and swelling associated with acne.
This is perhaps one of the most common ingredients of natural cosmetic products today. Shea butter contains allantoin, provitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin D, phytosterols, and fatty acids which are known for their skin-improving properties. Research has indicated that shea butter is beneficial in eliminating wrinkles, fine lines, and scars. Known for its anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and skin strengthening properties, shea butter also plays a vital role in stimulating the production of collagen, which results in stronger, suppler, and younger skin.
More famous for its culinary applications, sesame oil is also popular for its antioxidant properties which are very beneficial to the skin. Antioxidants eradicate free radicals which trigger the occurrence of many signs of aging. Furthermore, sesame oil works best in treating eczema, psoriasis and chronic dry skin.
Sweet Almond Oil
A good source of Vitamins B & E, protein, healthy fats and other essential minerals, sweet almond oil is known for its profound effects to the skin. It is capable of protecting the skin against damaging UV rays, reducing skin irritations, swelling and inflammation, as well as in rejuvenating the skin.
An excellent source of antioxidants like Vitamin E, cocoa butter makes an essential component of your skin and face regimen. Its Vitamin E content is beneficial in stimulating the production of collagen thereby resulting to the reduction of wrinkles and other signs of aging. A good treatment for hyperpigmentation, cocoa butter is also useful in making the skin feel smooth and soft.
Tea Tree Essential Oil
Known for its anti-fungal, antiviral and anti-bacterial properties, tea tree essential oil makes an excellent treatment for a wide sort of skin ailments which include abscess, sunburn, blisters, oily skin and of course, acne. In addition to its natural ability to moisturize the skin, tea tree oil is also thought capable of opening the pores and cleaning it from the inside. This reduces one’s susceptibility to acne.
Grapefruit Seed Extract
With antibacterial, antifungal and antioxidant properties, grapeseed extract is a popular ingredient of personal care products like hand creams, body washes, conditioners, shampoos, moisturizers, facial wash and face creams. Grapeseed extract is also a rich source of nutrients like Vitamins E, C and A as well as flavonoids.
