They are grown in special conditions in order to contain the highest nutrients and are used in japaniese ceremonies. Regular “green tea” is not bad for you, but probably doesn’t taste very good directly ingested.

L-theanine along with magnesium and melatonin can also help with GERD. I was on prescription meds for over 20 years for acid reflux. Thought I would be for life. Now I take 500mg magnesium and a 5mg melatonin with L-theanine at bedtime. I take my prescription maybe two days a month now!

I admit it is fairly vague and obviously an 8 oz serving would be stronger tasting than a 20 oz serving. I personally would used 1/2 tsp for 20 oz.
