  3. I was all excited to find a natural sleep aid till I saw the first ingredient, valerian. I’ve found that anything with valerian in it gives me very bad dreams – always.

  4. I recently started using Valerian root extract because my nerves had been shot lately and I haven’t been sleeping to well. I bought Mason natural Relax and sleep at my local pharmacy. It has Valerian root extract, passion flower, celery seed powder, catnip powder, hops powder, dried orange peel. It does wonder’s! It takes a while to kick in but worth it! I was looking for something similar to Xanax and this is it! I take 4 tablets and within2-4 hrs. I am calm and or sleeping. I highly reccomend this!!

  5. If you are taking medication make sure that you check that you can take valerian, or anything else prescription, over the counter or herbal. I had major side effect because it was interfering with my prescription medication.

  6. I agree with Sally. There are a lot of medications that valerian will interfere with. You really should check regarding anything natural or otherwise before combining it with your prescription medication.

  7. Is this recipe safe for someone that is pregnant? I am about 8 weeks pregnant and have been have extreme difficulty sleeping. Please help!
