In Chinese and European medicine, sage was widely used because of its disease-preventing and health-promoting properties. During the reign of Roman Empire, it was used for hair coloring.

  1. Is is best to be used in a tea, or added to food? What is the best way to get the benefits? From your information, it sounds like it could help me with several things. 🙂 Thanks

  2. In Mother Earth magazine there’s an article on how it can help cover your grey, too. Steep about a cup’s worth in water (I left mine overnight), and then use to rinse your hair after you shampoo. Don’t rinse it out. It’s best on brunettes. It doesn’t take the grey OUT, but it certainly does tone it down. My hairdresser even noticed!

  3. How would one use it to help with grief? Sage tea, maybe? Thanks for any advice…I need it.

  4. Well I have seen the sage in smoke form to get rid of depression and grief. Similar to incense burning.
