What’s interesting about these is that there is actually a fair body of scientific research that supports the action of herbs in helping hair in various ways. Some of these are quite interesting and not what you might expect. For example, both stinging nettle and saw palmetto (taken as supplements) are independently reported to prevent the conversion of testosterone hormones into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). According to studies, excessive production of DHT normally triggers hair loss.
