I will never look at oranges the same way I did before finding this giant list of amazing uses for them…
Oranges are believed to have originated from Southeast Asia. They’ve been cultivated by the Chinese since around 2500 BC. The Spanish brought them to America in the mid-1500’s and they are now one of the world’s most popular fruits.
However there are all sorts of interesting things you can do with oranges that people don’t know about. For the home, oranges have helped me in ways I couldn’t imagine – orange peel kindling and stove top pot-pourri. In addition, they can be alternatives to all those chemical-based cleaners out there in the market. Oranges can be used in recipes to clean the microwave, sink and even kitchen wares. As much as possible, I’d like to share means to maintain a cleaner, healthier home.
For beauty and body, never underrate these familiar citrus, they can be included in formulas for hair rinse as well as face and body exfoliators. It’s interesting how women can find free and natural methods to be more beautiful – to glow from skin and from within. Nature has the answer! It’s pretty obvious when you consider it as the source of all vitality.
Surprisingly, oranges can also be a potential remedy for migraine attacks. What to do? Just pour hot water to orange peels and let them steep for 10 minutes. After doing so, you can drink the solution as tea. Right now, I am hunting for plants, fruits and vegetables that will relieve me from the daily manifestations of stress. I am overjoyed to realize a stress-free, healthy way of staying well through oranges!
To feed the soul, mix with in your pastries and juices to get that zing in your boring daily meal or beverage. They go well with my pancakes, oatmeal, tea, as a jam, as a jelly. You can even make amazing naturally flavored water out of them.
